Clerk Experience

As a law clerk with Alloway & Associates, Baron supports the firm’s lawyers across commercial, enforcement, insolvency and real estate matters. He opens and organizes files, gathers the documents and information each matter needs, and keeps every file moving from intake to completion.

His day-to-day work includes conducting title, corporate and personal property security searches; tracking deadlines and court dates; coordinating with receivers, trustees, process servers, appraisers and court offices; and preparing correspondence and draft documents for review by the responsible lawyer.

Background

Born and raised in Toronto, Baron graduated from Crescent School in 2014 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami, where he served as a research assistant on the design of a tissue measurement device. He went on to work for a leading surgical company in New York, developing measurement algorithms for orthopedic knee replacement surgery.

In 2016 he co-founded FlightSquad Media (now SHIFTED Digital), an early aerial photography company. He entered the real estate industry in 2020, became a licensed Real Estate Broker in January 2022, and has served as Broker of Record of Alloway Property Group Ltd. since September 2022, giving him first-hand knowledge of Toronto residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Outside the office, Baron is a licensed private pilot and enjoys golfing, fishing and scuba diving.
